Solidarités International is among the NGOs that continue to operate in the region, ensuring that communities maintain access to essential services, including clean water, vegetable seeds, and food assistance.

Misereor is a Catholic global development organization based in Aachen, Germany. For this assignment, we accompanied a solar engineer and a nun as they installed solar panels at medical stations.

In Kalemie, Tanganyika Province, MSI Reproductive Choices DRC delivers essential sexual and reproductive healthcare through its MS Big Sisters program. This community-based initiative empowers adolescent girls and young women by providing accurate information about sexual and reproductive health, promoting informed choices, and improving access to care.
